Thank you for trusting your eye health care to Oscar Oglethorpe Eyewear. When you schedule an appointment with us, we set aside enough time to provide you with the highest quality eye care. Should you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact our office as soon as possible and no later than 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. This gives us time to schedule other patients who may be waiting for an appointment.

  • Effective January 1, 2022 any patient who fails to show for or fails to provide at least 24 hours notice should they need to cancel or reschedule their appointment may be asked to pay the full Out-Of-Pocket (OOP) cost of their appointment in advance before rescheduling. If the patient has insurance that covers the cost of their appointment the OOP cost covered by insurance will be refunded or credited to the patient when they show for their next appointment.
  • If a third No Show or Cancellation/Reschedule with less than 24 hours notice should occur, the patient will be dismissed from Oscar Oglethorpe Eyewear and will no longer be able to make appointments. In this event, Oscar Oglethorpe Eyewear will be happy to send the patient’s records to a provider of their choice and will do so quickly and at no cost to the patient.
  • As a courtesy, when time allows, we make reminder calls and send reminder texts for appointments. If you do not receive a reminder call, message, or text, the Policy above remains in effect.

  • We ask that you try to arrive at least 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. Please be advised that we will need to reschedule your appointment if you are more than 10 minutes late, so please try to allow at least 10 minutes to find parking. We suggest parking in the Greene Street Parking Deck so that we can validate your parking for you.

We understand there may be times when an unforeseen emergency occurs and you may not be able to keep your scheduled appointment. If you should experience extenuating circumstances please contact our Office Manager who may be able to reschedule your next appointment without having you pay the full OOP cost in advance.
